At Vital Signs Ministry, we believe in second chances. Your generous support has helped us provide housing, transportation, life skills coaching, and job placement services to men transitioning from incarceration back into society. With your partnership, we are able to break down the barriers that prevent so many from rebuilding their lives.
Now, we are launching a fundraising campaign to continue and also expand these life-changing services. This campaign will also focus on providing services during their first month out, where so many do not yet have jobs that will provide them with the essentials.
Safe Housing provides a place to call home as individuals rebuild their lives.
ReliableTransportation Assistance helps returning citizens get to interviews, work and to meet other essential needs.
Life Skills Coaching offers guidance in decision-making, goal-setting, and emotional well-being.
Job Placement and Training: connects individuals with meaningful employment opportunities that pave the way for independence and true career development.
We invite you to be part of this exciting initiative by marking your calendar and joining us in the campaign.. Together, we can help provide the tools and opportunities that empower individuals to overcome their past and build a brighter future.

What does it take to provide a new start for a Returning Citizen?
A Fresh Start for Someone Who Needs It
Meet Ronson. Just 1 ½ years ago, he was in jail due to drug possession and had lost hope. Ronson had been addicted to drugs since he was a teenager and landed in jail 4 times. He was even selling drugs from his jail cell. Eventually he lost contact with everyone. Ronson says it was scary and didn’t know what was next.
But today, thanks to supporters like you, Ronson has a job, he has bought himself a vehicle, and has started his own non profit to support, inspire and motivate others who were in his situation.
Through our program, Ronson found safe shelter, and a community that welcomed him with open arms. He got a life coach that helped him regain hope and start to rebuild his foundation. He says that this pushed him to both love himself and to “be a better me”. If you talk to Ronson today, he will tell you that being part of Vital Signs saved his life. He is also now a life coach, working on being a substance abuse counselor and can’t wait to see what’s next.
Ronson’s Story
The Journey Isn't Over
While Ronson is now doing well, we have many others that need assistance on the road to self-sufficiency and starting anew. That’s why we’re asking for your help today.
Your donation helps finance more than just safe shelter. It covers essential services like transportation to job training, interviews and work and life skills coaching. Participants contribute to their housing and services in the months that they stay with us and your donation also helps with their first month out, when they don’t yet have a job, or basic necessities but they’re ready to take that next step toward independence. Together, with your help, we can provide them with a chance to thrive.
Make an impact today
Please consider making a donation today and help us give returning citizens the opportunity to start over with dignity, hope, and a path forward. Together, we can turn pain and crises into new beginnings with purpose.
